Upcoming Webinar — Lens on Standards: Communicating with Culturally Diverse Older People

The Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing invites aged care professionals, managers and board members to a free live webinar exploring effective cross-cultural communication in care settings.

The new Aged Care Act affirms an individual’s right to use their preferred language or method of communication, including access to interpreters and communication aids. The Standards further emphasise that appropriate communication is essential to ensuring a safe, high-quality experience of services and care. This webinar examines practical approaches and the translating and interpreting resources available to meet these requirements, with a focus on supporting older people in their preferred language.

Hosted by Paul Zanatta, Manager of the Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing, the live session includes a Question-and-Answer segment with the speakers.
