The Australian Government is currently consulting on their Aged Care Quality Standards. First implemented in 2019, it’s now time to see if they are working.
COTA Australia worked to get the Consumer Outcome Statements into the standards, and this is a chance for older Australians to tell the government what they think about that.
We’re delighted that the government is doing the sort of consultations they should be, and we want to make sure it succeeds. Not just to improve the standards, but also to make sure the new aged care system we’ve campaigned for, and the Royal Commission recommended, happens the way we intend… with aged care consumers and their supporters consulted, and included at every step.
