Fairfield City Council, in partnership with Fairfield City Police Area Command, is pleased to invite you to the United in Diversity – Strengthening Our Community Together Workshop. This workshop is part of the Everybody Belongs Project, funded by the NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), and is designed for community and faith leaders, as well as community workers in Fairfield City.

The free workshop will focus on hate crime awareness and fostering social cohesion in Fairfield City. It offers a unique opportunity for community leaders, faith leaders, community workers, and officers from the Hate Crime Command to come together and engage in meaningful dialogue.

Topics covered will include:

  • Recognising the signs of potential hate crimes, including examples of hate speech and behaviour.
  • How to report hate crimes and the appropriate channels for doing so.
  • Addressing hate crime issues at the local level.
  • Ways to celebrate diversity and promote social cohesion within our community.

This workshop provides an excellent opportunity to collaborate, share insights, and discuss practical approaches to building a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone in our community.
