Latest COVID-19 Update

The NSW Government is continuing to ease certain COVID-19 restrictions in the Greater Sydney, Central Coast and Wollongong areas. However, important COVID-19 restrictions continue to apply in NSW to protect our community and we need to maintain high rates of COVID-19 testing in our community. Easing restrictions in Greater Sydney
From today Friday 12 February, COVID-19 restrictions have eased across the Greater Sydney region including Wollongong, Central Coast and Blue Mountains.

The 1 person by 2 square metre rule now applies at all venues, except for gyms. Weddings and funerals will still be subject to a 300 person cap.

Masks will only be mandatory on public transport, but will strongly be encouraged in other indoor venues where social distancing is not possible. For more information about what you can and can’t do in NSW, and the latest changes, see here.

Testing
Maintaining high testing numbers is vital to keeping our community and loved ones safe. NSW Health urges anybody with any cold-like symptoms to come forward for testing, and to isolate until they receive a negative result.

Testing at public COVID-19 clinics is free, quick and easy. No Medicare card is required. Most people in NSW receive their test results within 24 hours.

Protect your community, family and loved ones by getting tested even if you have mild symptoms. Symptoms include fever, cough, sore/scratchy throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of smell, loss of taste.

NSW Health has increased testing options for the community and there are more than 350 COVID-19 testing locations in NSW. To find your nearest clinic visit https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/how-to-protect-yourself-and-others/clinics or speak to your GP confidentially about getting tested.
